Treherne Farm has been our home since 1994, when we gave up the life of a military family to settle down in the country. Our family of seven was soon out numbered by equines, some of whom were retired or rescued. We became interested in miniatures a short time later, and spent several years dreaming of raising minis before purchasing our first four in 1999. We have since been dedicated to producing correct and colourful little horses with quality pedigrees, each registered with the AMHA, the AMHR, or both. The colour of the horse is not our main priority, it is an added bonus. While keeping conformation and temperament first and foremost, pintos have always been our particular passion. We are also breeding the dilute and double dilute colours. Our goal is to produce horses that can win in the showring, and be equally at home as a family companion. 

Our horses have been purchased from all over Canada and the United States, and bring with them pedigrees that include many of the best known and loved names in miniatures, such as Boones, Bond, Van't Huttenest, Little Kings, Soats, Hobby Horse, Flying W Farms, Komokos, Stouts, Wittmaacks,  Fishers,  LTD's,  Hemlock Brooks, Jandts and Dell Teras.

Our farm name, (pronounced  t r e e - h u r n) was chosen in memory of Randy's father, Kenneth Treherne Ashworth, of Vernon, British Columbia, who passed away from cancer a few months after we moved to the farm.  Located in South Himsworth, near Trout Creek - part of Ontario's beautiful "Blue Sky Region", we are approximately 40 minutes south of North Bay and 3 &1/2 hours north of Toronto. We  hope that you enjoy your visit with us.
